Welcome to our sight

Here you can find out all about the extraordinary dramaticians of the Spreyton Gurnish Amateur Dramatic Society and our county renowned productions.

The Spreyton Gurnish Amateur Dramatic Society* proudly presents our first ever devised Christmas frisson: A Coalition Carol.

In the wake of the big society, recession and global financial apocalypse anyone else feeling Scrooged over? Should ‘Christmas’ be changed to ‘Consumer-istmas’? And is Nick Clegg the Ghost of Christmas past or of Christmas Yet To Come?

Following hot on the heels of last year’s “admirably enthusiastic” production of Waiting for Godot 2: When Nature Calls comes a blistering new collaborative watershed from the director who bought you Willow the Wisp 3D and the controversial over 60s’ production of Shopping and F**king (rehearsed reading only).

Pithy, gritty and experimental, A Coalition Carol features exclusive movement direction from Juliet Barnard Coombe (B.A. Hons) and a host of Christmas song favourites from Frankie Goes to Hollywood to Jessie J.

Enjoy - or will you?

Warning: features hard hitting drama - may not be suitable for those with a non-theatrical disposition.

*Correction* Should read: “In association with the Venton St. Lobb Parish Players” Apologies to the bijou artistic community of Venton St. Lobb for any offence caused.

PLEAS NOTE AUDITIONS FOR 'A COALITION CAROL' are now CLOSED.

Thanks to all those who shared their time and talents, hopes and dreams unfortunately we can only fit a maixmum of eight drama warriors on stage due to ongoing repair work with the hall.
